At home with Mom

Basketball or baseball?

Starting to smile!

Happy Quinn!

I have two weeks left on my maternity leave. It's been quite an adjustment getting used to having two boys at home but I think we are managing well. Quinn is such a good baby and Ben loves to try and help with everything. He's into throwing the dirty diapers (and anything else he can find) into the garbage. I really appreciate his efforts though!!

Last Night of Spring Kindermusik Class

Doing the warm-up exercises with Dad.

Moovin' and Groovin' to the music!

Off doing my own thing for a little bit...

Playing with the colored water bottles and his friend Kate.

Ben's class.
His teacher is Miss Melanie - she's the one standing in the middle in the back row.

We had the last night of Ben's spring semester of Kindermusik Thursday night. It's been a great semester and Ben's last in the Village age group (age 6 weeks - 18 months). This summer he will start the Our Time age group- growing up so fast!

My Craigslist Find!

We like to also play golf inside the playhouse.

Going down the slide!

Getting ready to go down again!

Dad teaching Ben how to climb.

Bella enjoying the shade.

I went scouring Craigslist for a climbing play structure for the boys recently. This was my first experience with Craigslist and I must say that it went very well! We found a Little Tykes 8-in-1 Climber for a reasonable price that is in excellent condition. I took the powerwasher to it and it looksbrand new! Ben loves it and is having a good time learning to climb the stairs and go down the slide. Right now Quinn is more of an "observer", but I'm sure that will change in the future! Watch out Big Brother!!

Brotherly Love

Quinn taking it easy.

The nukie thief strikes again!

Trying to sit with his big brother

"But I really want to cuddle him Mom!"

"See - he likes it!"

We finally got to spend some time on our deck without feeling like you are going to be blown away by the wind. Ben continues to be a great big brother and is always giving Quinn kisses and cuddles. He has developed new interest in some of his old "things" - the vibrating bouncy seat that I couldn't get him to sit in for more than a few minutes when he was Quinn's age has become his favorite seat in the house, even when Quinn is in it!

Eating with a fork

Ben is slowing master the fine art of eating with a fork. There are still times that he uses it more as a toy and objuect to throw food to the dog but occasionally food actually makes it from the plate to his mouth!

Happy Mothers Day!

Mom and her boys on a wonderful Mothers Day 2009!

Quinn's 1st doctor appointment

Getting ready to be weighed.

I took Quinn in for his first doctor appointment last week. He managed to gain 9 oz. in 5 days to get back to his birth weight - we are so proud of the big eater!!

Prairie Park

Climbing the stairs.

Going down the slide

Trying to climb up the slide!

Looking through the window at Grandma.

My mom and I took Ben to Prairie Park in Otsego one afternoon. They have a play structure that is perfect for Ben and loved going up the stairs and down the slide over and over again!

Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa discussing world events with Quinn.

Grandma showing Ben a new view!

Brothers

Ben holding Quinn by himself.

Cuddling on the couch.

Trying to be gentle...

Sharing his blanket with Quinn.

Such a nice boy!

A few pictures of Ben and Quinn. Ben seems to really like his little brother - he goes into our room every morning and wants to give him a kiss. He also wants to lay by him whenever Quinn is on the couch. We are still learning to be gentle and not smother Quinn - sometimes he just gets so excited he can't help himself!
